Applicability: These regulations apply to students who began their studies on or after November 18, 2021.
Course Requirements: The course must last at least 54 months (
years).
Internship Requirement: A 12-month mandatory internship in the foreign country, followed by a 12-month internship (CRMI) in India.
Medium of Instruction: The course must be in English.
Licensure: Students must be registered to practice in the country where they graduated.
Same Institution: The entire training and internship must be completed in the same foreign institution.
Exemptions: Students enrolled before November 18, 2021, are exempt from these regulations and are governed by the previous 2002 screening test regulations.

One-time Exemption: The NMC announced a one-time, cohort-specific exemption for BS students (specifically Philippines) who enrolled before November 18, 2021, even if they studied online.
Additional Internship: FMGs under these regulations must complete a 12-month internship in the foreign country, followed by a 12-month internship in India.
Timeline: The total duration to complete the course, from admission to graduation, must not exceed 10 years.
